Focus: Level III class
The Level III class is for doctors only and is limited to 8 veterinarians
with two instructors and one assistant.
This class is approved for 12 hours of continuing education credits.
This class lasts 1 ½ days,
with four hours of lecture and four hours of lab the first day and four hours
of lab of day two. The class will end at noon on the second day, allowing
you to travel home that afternoon. This class is focused heavily on the lab
sections, with eight hours of intensive lab instruction.
This class is for veterinarians who want to take their dental skills to the next level. These procedures were selected by Dr. Woodward because they are the most common procedures you will deliver after those techniques covered in the Level II class. A variety of more advanced techniques will be covered, and the restorative techniques presented will prepare you to restore endodontic cases. This class is a pre-requisite for our Level IV (endodontic) class.
Techniques covered include glass ionomer and composite restorative techniques, selection of appropriate restorative materials, restoration of caries and root canal access sites, composite tooth extensions utilized in fractures and base-narrow lower canines, wire and wire/acrylic splints for luxated teeth and jaw fractures. Advanced periodontal techniques that will be presented include open root planing, and pedicle flaps for gingival defects.
Each participant has their own work station equipped with everything needed
for the class, and will receives a comprehensive instrument/materials set
($900 retail value).
The contents of this kit have been carefully
selected from state of the art materials, and are provided to you at cost.
You will train using these materials and then take them home for immediate
use in your practice. No more going home and scrambling around to order all
the stuff you heard about in a lab, but never actually had a chance to use
because the equipment supplier for the lab sent all the wrong stuff!
Training with the exact instruments and materials you will use in your own
practice is invaluable. Simply put, no dental training classes have ever
included an instrument/materials kit of this breadth. You will use everything
you take home.

Due to the large amount of material covered in this class, some prior study is strongly recommended prior to attending class. The recommended reading list will be provided for you when you register for this class. If you are unwilling to prepare, you will find it difficult to keep up and should probably not take this class. If you spend the time reading 8-10 hours prior to class, you will be fine.
This class is a prerequisite for the Level IV class.
Tuition for this class is $1600 (including over $1000 in instruments/materials)
